Bath 2012 - Home to the Roman Baths and the Royal Crescent

History

Bath became a City in 1590, having been given a Royal Charter by Elizabeth I. It lies in a natural valley with the River Avon running through it. It also lies on some hot springs, which gave rise to the Roman Baths.

Bath relies heavily on Tourism, with nearly 4 million day visitors per year and 1 million staying visitors.
